Friday, as part of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) pilot project, the General Directorate of the Executive Body of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) announces that the transmission equipment has been installed and has been successfully tested in the evening of Thursday, December 22, 2016.

The first signals of the DTT in clear were received on channel 10 by a test group located in several parts of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. The signals received meet the expectations in terms of picture quality and sound.

Recall that the official launch of the pilot channel is scheduled for Wednesday, December 28 (with more than a month delay), will allow the population of the metropolitan area to experiment the DTT in order to ensure the success of the transition to Digital Television in Haiti.
