iciHaiti - Gold Cup 2017 : First training session for the Grenadiers
Wednesday morning on the St Marty's College Grouds (Trinidad) the Grenadiers had their first training, in order to play the first part of the of the qualifiers of the Gold Cup 2017.

This first of two training sessions included a physical part with Coach Chery Pierre and another part of game and ball circulation with Jean Claude Josophat. These two Haitian coaches have taken over by interim French Patrice Neveu and Nicolas Santucci who have left the framework of the national team https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19640-haiti-flash-patrice-neveu-leaves-the-grenadiers.html while waiting for the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) to find another solution for the technical supervision of the Grenadiers.

This Thursday, the Grenadiers will play a test match on this same field against W. Connection, a club of first division Trinidadian that will be deprived for the occasion of its players engaged with the local national selection.

The first part of the 2017 Gold Cup qualifiers obliges our Grenadiers to play a real marathon: two matches against Suriname on January 6 and one match on January 8 against the Soca Warriors (Trinidad, host country). Our Grenadiers are obliged to pass these qualifiers under penalty of seeing Haiti absent from the regional scene at the senior level.
