Friday at the Karibe Convention Center, Régine Lamur, the new Minister of Youth, Sports attended the 2nd Gala of Champions, organized by the international boxing promoter, Jacques Deschamps Fils.

At the event, featuring 6 matches including 2 women, Minister Lamur applauded the performance of Haitian boxers after handing the WBA-FEDELATIN lightweight championship belt to Wilky Camfort winner of the Venezuelan Paul Valenzuela.

Wilky Camfort, Evens Pierre and Mélissa Saintvil, three of the four Haitian boxers engaged in this evening won their fight and retained their titles. Only Azea Augustama was beaten by Gusmyr Perdomo.

La Ministre Lamur en a profité pour inviter le secteur privé à multiplier les initiatives visant à encourager la pratique sportive et à faciliter l'épanouissement et l'intégration sociale des jeunes par le sport.
