Due to the rise of the waters on the coast and in places inside the towns, the local authorities carried out evacuations. In Maniche, some fifty families were moved to the national schools of Melon and Dory. Similarly, the Town Hall of Port-Salut carried out the evacuation of families, exposed following a landslide in the locality of Dumont. In addition, technicians from the Ministry of Public Works Transport and Communication (TPTC) continue their work, particularly at Arniquet, Port-Salut, Port-a-Piment and Saint-Jean du Sud, where several sections of roads have been affected at different levels.
