iciHaiti - Health : Assessment visit to the Materno-Infantile Center of Léogâne and Gressier
Thursday, a delegation from the West Health Directorate (DSO), led by its Director, Dr Martial Bénêche, visited the Materno-Infantile Center of Léogâne to assess the pressing needs and allow it, in the near future, to provide better services to the Léogânaise population.

"Making this Center more functional, among other things, is the number one objective of my visit," said Dr. Martial Benche who spoke with the head of the Communal Health Unit (UCS-Anacaona) on priority of the Government, adding, "Today, for the Haitian State, it is more than necessary that the population in general have access to quality health care". Director Bénêche took the opportunity to meet with the representative of the NGO "Prosami" (Maternal and Child Health Project), who once again pledged to support the Haitian State at the level of the City of Anacaona.

Then the DSO delegation visited the Gressier Materno-Infantile Center, where Dr. Bénêche took note of the grievances and needs after making similar statements, emphasizing to the leaders the need to give all women who attend this Center, quality care.
