Haiti - Social : MJSAC honors its best employees...
This week, as part of the World Day for the Public Service, Régine Lamur, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), awarded Honor and Merit certificates to 21 employees who distinguished themselves during the year for their discipline, commitment and quality of their work. Jean Paul Poulard, was appointed employee of the year, and will represent this Friday the Ministry at the official ceremony of celebration of the World Day of Public Service.

Also on Thursday at the Ritz Kinam Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of Education presented to 34 officials, including Marie Alice Joséphine Pierre Louis, the oldest of recipients, with 51 years of service, an honorary plaque for their exemplary professionalism in the performance of their duties.

Minister Cadet in his remarks on the circumstances stated that "If there is a Public Service, if the Ministry exists, it is essentially thanks to the work and commitment of these agents, men and women who have understood the meaning of the public service and are committed to the task on a daily basis [...] These 34 civil servants represent the pillars of the building, the light that should enlighten new agents who want to make a career and perpetuate the institution [...] beyond criticism, beyond the laziness of some and their lack of commitment, there are men and women who understand that it is their duty to provide an adequate service to the people not only by respect but also and especially because they are paid to do their job. Even if it is necessary to recognize the limits of this salary [...]"
