On Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, as announced, the Jacmel City Hall launched a cleanup day at the Jacmel municipal market.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of several institutions and partners, including the National Solid Waste Management Service (SNGRS); the Public Works Department; the Haitian National Police (PNH); the Protected Areas Security Brigade (BSAP); the fire department; and the private sector in Jacmel.

The goal of this operation was to improve hygiene conditions at the market, protect public health, and provide vendors and customers with a cleaner, safer, and more pleasant environment.

The Jacmel City Hall thanks all the institutions and citizens who contributed to the success of this day and encourages the population to continue their efforts to keep the city clean, orderly, and well-organized.
