The Commissioner of the Government of Petit-Goâve, Me Fourjy Pierre, placed journalist Mathieu Guyto, Director of Radio Préférence FM and correspondent for the information website HaitiLibre.com, in custody at the Court of First Instance of Petit-Goâve.

A bailiff, Dubrun Brinvilus, accuses Guyto Mathieu, who was in the performance of his duties at the time of the alleged acts, to have slapped him on May 3, 2017. Guyto Mathieu rejected this accusation "It is false and totally false [...] The Commissioner of Government, Me Fourcy Pierre fell into a trap, it is a plot hatched by Dubrun Brinvilus who presented a false certificate."

Dubrun Brinvilus would have claimed 500,000 Gourdes of damage for this supposed slap...
