iciHaiti - Politic : Entry into force of the agreement Indotel-CONATEL

Jose Del Castillo Saviñón, President of the Dominican National Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL), announced that the bilateral agreement with the National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL), aimed at resolving problems of interference of broadcasters at the border, will enter into force in September 2017. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21639-haiti-politics-interference-and-roaming-on-the-bilateral-agenda.html
Del Castillo Saviñón recalled that 233 Haitian radio stations create interference in Dominican radio space, particularly in the border area, against 33 radio stations on the Dominican side. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21677-haiti-flash-233-haitian-radio-stations-interfere-in-dominican-territory.html
He explained that at the meeting in Port-au-Prince, the CONATEL had agreed to sign a new protocol, which included the creation of a working group and a study that would serve as a mapping of the origin of emissions, in rder to take regulatory measures relating to the calibration of equipment, transmitters and the orientation of radio frequency antennas.
