iciHaiti - FLASH : Come give your blood and save lives
The French Embassy, the Haitian Red Cross and France Alumni Haiti are organizing a blood collect on Friday 19 January from 2pm to 6pm and Saturday 20 January from 8am to 12pm at Manoir des Lauriers (Bourdon road, next to the IDB).

This blood collect will be carried out for the benefit of the National Blood Transfusion Service, which is composed of the National Blood Transfusion Center in Port-au-Prince and 14 blood transfusion stations across the country.

To donate blood, you must be between 17 and 65 years old and be in good health.

An assessment of health status is performed before to determine if the blood sample can be taken without risk to the blood donor.

Materials used for donor blood collection are sterile and disposable.

All donations are then tested for diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, HTLV1 & 2

While nearly half of the blood product claims are not honored for lack of donors, we are counting on you ! One pouch of blood can save the lives of many sick "Chak ti gout san konte !"
