iciHaiti - National Carnival 2018 : Balance of the 2nd pre-carnival Sunday to PAP

The Town Hall of Port-au-Prince greets all the thousands of revelers and the DJs who took part in the parade on the Champ de Mars and to the pre-carnival activities Sunday, January 21st.

The Communal Administration through its 3 Advanced Medical Post (PMA) reported a total of 32 cases of various injuries, including several by stabbing, which is significantly higher than the 5 wounded reported during a first Sunday https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-23327-icihaiti-social-first-pre-carnavalesque-day-at-pap-5-wounded.html

Moreover, after the fine imposed on the DJ Steezy on January 14th, two DJs Chaloska (DJ Bullet) and Bmix, were sanctioned Sunday for having uttered unwholesome and irreverent remarks on the course and received a fine of 50.000 Gourdes to acquit before the next outing, if they want to continue participating in the activities...

The Town Hall reminds DJs and animators accompanying them once again that the obscene words are totally forbidden on the course of the carnival and that any offender will be punished.

Moreover, it recalls that unauthorized vehicles can not circulate in the course. Vehicles parked inside the parade route will only be allowed to move after the passage of the last musical float. The same restriction applies to street vendors, which must be stationary.
