iciHaiti - Japan : Signature of a grant agreement for a project to strengthen resilience in the South 25/02/2018 06:57:53
Given the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew in 2016, especially in the southern region of Haiti, this project aims to strengthen local risk management capabilities through technical training on construction methods of hurricane-resistant buildings as well as that the sensitization of the inhabitants in the Commune, on the preparation and the adequate reaction during major natural hazards. The project plans to transmit the techniques and lessons learned from Japan's many experiences in this field, through the NGO "Peace Winds Japan" which has a rich experience in the implementation of Risk Management projects in Japan and in several foreign countries.
