For several weeks, day and night, robberies and assassinations have become daily acts in Léogâne where Gangs are spreading fear in the population, especially in the areas of Route 9, Natcom area welcome, Chatuley, the public Market of Léogâne, Nan Timo, Darbonne and Kann Boule area.

Among other things, these individuals are ambushing motorcycle taxi drivers and their customers to strip them and steal the motorcycle. Others pretend to be motorcycle taxi drivers and ransom their customers on the way. Those who oppose these bandits are beaten, wounded or killed...

This situation and these acts of aggression with impunity, have been reported to the National Police of Haiti of Léogâne, which seems to be powerless to put an end to the control that these bandits exercise in certain zone of the city. No arrest has been recorded so far...
