iciHaiti - Education : Tribute to 40 teachers and 10 personalities

Thursday at the Marriott, as part of the National Teachers' Day in the presence of Pierre Josué Agenor Cadet, the Minister of Education National, two former ministers of Education, of Senator Denis Cadeau (Nippes, BOUCLIER), Chairman of the Education Commission and representatives of partner organizations of the Ministry, including UNESCO and UNICEF in Haiti, 40 teachers and 10 personalities at the national level received during a ceremony in front of a large audience, a plaque of honor for their discipline, skills, dedication and contribution to the development of education in Haiti in recent decades.

"So many sacrifices made, so many obstacles met but you are still determined, dedicated to accomplishing this mission of contributing to the human and citizen future of the individuals entrusted to you from an early age," said Minister Cadet before commending the courage and determination of these men and women teachers who have invested themselves and who are still investing at the cost of great sacrifices in the training of generations of Haitians.

The Minister Cadet paid a well-deserved tribute to 10 personalities for their commitment and contribution to the noble cause of education who have a brilliant career in the education sector : Jacques Denis, Jacques Gary Pérodin, Janice Régis, Director of La Collège Source, Jean Pauris Jean-Baptiste, Julien Clerveaux, Lyne Margron, Mgr Jean Alix Verrier, Michel Pean, Mireille Fombrun aka "Sister St-Charles" and Roody Edmé.
