The Quebec novelist, poet, screenwriter, filmmaker of Haitian origin (born in Port-au-Prince on April 13, 1953) member of the French Academy Dany Laferrière, will be at the 12th Festival Haiti en Folie in Montreal (July 25 to 29) for the event "Dany Laferrière, open heart... 30 books later !"

For the occasion Dany, the author of "Je suis un écrivain japonais" who writes as he lives, will offer a great open-heart conference. This unique event will also highlight his complete work through an exhibition of his 30 books, various films adapted from his novels and some surprises.

Dany Laferrière will then sign his 30th book "Autoportrait de Paris, avec Chat" (published by Le Boréal), a 320-page book and all his other books. "Autoportrait de Paris, avec Chat", entirely hand-drawn, critically acclaimed and described as a masterpiece, is considered by the press as the craziest and freest book of recent decades.
