iciHaiti - Justice : Fight against impunity in Haiti

From June 25th to Thursday, June 28th at the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince, Lawyers Without Borders Canada (LWBC) is organizing the International Conference on Strategic Human Rights Litigation in Haiti, a legal approach to intensify the fight against impunity for human rights violations through targeted legal action.

This event will bring together Haitian and Canadian experts and a representative of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR). It will stimulate the exchange of experience and expertise to strengthen the capacity of lawyers and representatives of civil society organizations to identify, initiate and conduct such cases.

This international activity is part of the project "Access to justice and the fight against impunity in Haiti" (AJULIH), started in 2017 and realized with the support of the Government of Canada through World Affairs Canada (CMA).

Through this project, LWBC aims, among other things, to strengthen the protection and implementation of the rights of vulnerable people, including women, minors and prisoners.
