The Honduran authorities arrested 18 Haitians, including eight minors who illegally entered Honduran territory to travel to the United States.

Haitians were arrested in Guasaule on the border between Honduras and Nicaragua by agents of the National Inter-Agency Security Force (FUSINA). They were taken to and held at the National Institute of Migration in Choluteca (South of the country) pending the decision of the authorities to return them to Haiti or allow them to cross the territory of Honduras.
