iciHaiti - Social : 60 Haitians repatriated at the border point Anse-à-Pitres / Pedernales

Last week, the authorities of the Dominican migration, supported by soldiers returned 60 Haitians to the border of Anse-to-Pitres / Pedernales (South-East).

Originally mostly from Anse-à-Pitres and Thiotte, these Haitians in irregular migratory situation lived for some 5 years in Juancho, a locality of Pedernales and worked for the most part in the field of agriculture and construction. The majority have been controled and arrested at their place of work.

The Repatriated and Refugee Support Group (GARR), which has registered 34 of these 60 Haitians, is indignant at the conditions in which the Dominican authorities carry out repatriation operations at the border and pleads for the respect of the rights of all Haitian nationals during repatriations.
