On Sunday, as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the consecration of Haiti to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, His Eminence Cardinal Chibly Langlois was invited by Archbishop Francisco Ozoria Acosta of Santo Domingo.

Cardinal Langlois celebrated a Mass with the large Haitian community living in the Dominican Republic.

In his homily, quoting Dom Elder Camara, Cardinal Langlois said, "When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality" before continuing "Our two Nations and our two churches that are truly the same Church, must arm themselves with courage to dream together about the many problems we have to solve. to live together."

During his stay, Cardinal Chibly Langlois also met a delegation of students and a delegation of Haitian workers.
