Rochenel Jean (27) Haitian native of the border town Cerca-la-Source, who worked in the Dominican Republic in the construction for several years, was victim of a night assault with knives by three bandits Dominican in his home, in Juan de Herrera (Province of San Juan).

While he was pretending to be dead, the robbers stripped him of his meager belongings including a radio, a TV and a fan.

Rochenel Jean went to the hospital himself. Because of his irregular migration situation, after being treated, the doctor in accordance with the law, handed him over to the officers of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM), who after having kept him during the rest of the night in a detention center in Haina, proceeded thereafter to his repatriation to Haiti.

Rochenel Jean criticized the migratory authorities who repatriated him without giving him the opportunity to obtain justice and reparation for his aggression and theft of his property...
