iciHaiti - Health : 90,000 Haitians receive treatment for HIV

Wednesday, US Ambassador to Haiti Michele J. Sison met with First Lady Martine Moïse to discuss common goals for the delivery of HIV services in Haiti.

Remember that the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR Haiti) and the Haitian Government provide more than 90,000 people with HIV treatment that saves lives.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID - Haiti) and PEPFAR Haiti, are proud to work with the Government of Haiti to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child by providing services to 98% of pregnant women in care, said Ambassador Sison.
