On Thursday, the former Deputy of Petit-Goâve Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon and current Director General of the Ministry of Planning, denied on Radio Préférence that he received and distributed money from the Government, in Petit-Goâve in order to prevent opposition demonstrations against the ruling team ... claiming that "Any sector is free to demonstrate. "
Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon denied the rumor that he would have received from the Government 6 million gourdes to buy the silence of the "bases" (popular organizations) and to abort any project of demonstration against the Government. Thimoléon claims that this is "a vast campaign of lies" that a well-defined sector of the city is orchestrating against him, to create a climate of disorder and instability at commune level "it's the same scenario that one try to reproduce when I was a member of the constituency."
