After the passage of cyclone Matthew, in support to the efforts of the Government, which had made the request, Food for the Poor (FFP-Haiti) built nearly 150 houses, including 50 in the Village of Gommiers/Roseaux, 16 in St Victor/Abricots, 16 in the neighborhood of downtown Apricots, 12 in Petite Rivière/Dame Marie and more than fifty in other localities of the Great South.

Also in the context of the Post-Matthew Projects, the direct interventions of Food for the Poor Haiti between November 2016 and June 2017 in the South and Grand'Anse have allowed among other things to repair 387 houses in 23 localities and to build 285 new homes in 10 different locations; five dormitories for orphans in Torch/Pestel and also repair. Also 3 community centers, 2 schools...

Between May and June 2018, 40 houses were built for persons with reduced mobility: 20 in the Southern Department, 10 in Jérémie and 10 in Dame-Marie.

Every month, FFP-Haiti builds throughout the national territory, between 150 and 190 houses for the benefit of the poorest according to very precise criteria. FFP-Haiti also builds community centers, schools equipped with adequate equipment and materials; clinics and orphanages. In addition, FFP-Haiti is involved in the drilling of wells and the installation of water treatment units and water collection and distribution systems.

More than 300 houses are currently under construction (July 2018), 5 buildings for schools, 2 community centers and 50 wells are being drilled...
