Saturday, August 4 brought the anniversary of Saint Dominic and the inhabitants of Marigot (South-East, district of Jacmel) did not fail to celebrate their Patron Saint by a mass sung at the parish bearing the name of the same saint and many activities. The presence of numerous authorities and local personalities was noticed at this patronal feast, in particular that of the deputy of Marigot, Déus Déroneth.

On the sidelines of the festival-champêtre in Marigot, a training session on hygiene by Chef James Marvin Bien-Aimé was given for the benefit of the merchants.

A delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and the Hotel School of Haiti was present at this patronal festival, to take advantage of the affluence to do 3 things : a report on the festivities, the promotion of the potentialities of this corner of the country and last but not least, raise awareness of the importance and responsibility of every Haitian in the cause of tourism.

The festivities continued in the evening until the early morning, for the pleasure of pilgrims and residents.
