iciHaiti - Environment : Towards an agreement between the Ministry of the Environment and the Haitian Red Cross
Tuesday, the Cabinet of the Minister of the Environment hosted the working meeting around the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and the Haitian Red Cross (CRH). This meeting, led by Ronald Toussaint, the Cabinet Director of the resigning Minister Pierre Simon Georges, was held in the presence of Périclès Jean-Baptiste representing the CRH, Yvan Trapet of the Dutch Red Cross, Janot Medler of Suarez of the Climate Center and several senior technical staff of the Ministry.

Through this Memorandum of Understanding, the two institutions will work to mobilize the necessary financial and methodological instruments in support of strengthening the resilience of communities, strengthening measures and projects of the Ministry for the consolidation of actions for the construction of Germplasm centers." We also analyzed, how this agreement will contribute to the implementation of the various projects of the Ministry of Environment in terms of adaptation, mitigation, green diplomacy, climate watch and capacity building of young people," said Toussaint at the end of this meeting.

Participants agreed with the Minister's Chief of Staff to update the document based on the latest changes. The signature of this Memorandum of Understanding between the senior officials of these two partner institutions should take place as soon as possible.
