This week the Prime Minister named Jean-Henry Céant met with 11 deputies of the G-16 minority opposition group in the lower house.

The G16 which advocates austerity in public spending, proposes a reduction in the number of ministries and wishes the removal of the Ministry for the Status of Women that would be integrated into the Social Affairs, of Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) that would be integrated into Foreign Affairs, but also the Ministries of Culture and that of the youth wh ose one don't know in which ministries they would be integrated.

Proposals that are likely to provoke strong reactions in the sectors concerned if implemented, but are unlikely to be followed by the appointed Prime Minister. Note that the G16 does not request any position in the next Government.
