iciHaiti - Environment : The SEMANAH invited to the Bali Conference in Indonesia
Captain Dieudonné Bruno, Director General of Maritime Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) received at the central office (Delmas 31), the visit of Mrs. Jenny Achab, Commercial Specialist and Alexis Nieves Attaché to Economic and Commercial Affairs within the American Embassy in Haiti.
The purpose of this visit was essentially to invite the highest officials of SEMANAH including its Director General, to take part in the Bali Conference in Indonesia (29-30 October 2018) to discuss issues related to maritime issues. Marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, marine pollution and its climate impact, the blue economy are the main themes that will be the subject of intense discussions. In addition, each country will have to make commitments to provide sustainable and adapted solutions," said Jenny Ahab.
In addition to SEMANAH, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of the Environment will also be part of the Haitian delegation.
