iciHaiti - Exhibition : «Faces of freedom» by Jean Claude Legagneur

Thursday, August 23 at the Galerie Nader (Pétion-ville), was held the opening of the traveling exhibition of the visual artist Jean Claude Legagneur: "Faces of freedom" on the theme of abolition of slavery.

This exhibition, of paintings and sculptures, will remain two weeks in Haiti before continuing its tour in North America including San Francisco and Washington DC At the end of its journey, the exhibition will definitely return to Haiti where it should be installed in permanence in a dedicated museum this end.

This opening was also the occasion to celebrate "the day of the slave trade and the abolition of the slavery" decreed by UNESCO, which underlined the Artist Érol Josué, Director General of the National Office Ethnology by interpreting one of his most beautiful traditional songs from his repertoire in front of distinguished guests and many personalities at this artistic event.

"Faces of freedom", an exhibition not to be missed!
