The proportion of women who reported having physically abused (physical violence) their husband / partner is 6% (3% in the last 12 months). The frequency of violence against husband / partner is 10 times higher for women who have experienced domestic violence than for women who have never experienced violence. The percentage of urban women who abuse their spouses is twice as high as in rural areas (8% versus 4%). It is in the Metropolitan Area and in households with the highest economic well-being that we find the highest percentages (respectively 10% and 8.9%).
