iciHaiti - Environment : Women's Marathon for the climate
The International Ozone Layer Protection Day (Ozoneday) was marked in Haiti by the completion of the 19-kilometer "Women's Climate Marathon".
More than 100 women members of women's organizations, students of the School of Nurses and women officials of the MDE, runned on the macadam this September 16, 2018 carrying out the path Kenscoff - Port-au-Prince.
Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), raising awareness of the importance of the ozone layer and drawing attention to the negative consequences of climate change on Haiti, which is a small and highly exposed Island State, are among the objectives of this activity of the Ministry of the Environment, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Haiti.
