"The United States looks forward to working with Prime Minister Céant and the new Haitian government.

We will continue to partner with Haiti to strengthen the rule of law and enhance public security; pursue economic growth through mobilized domestic resources and support for private investment; strengthen good governance, anti-corruption and counter narcotics efforts; and to increase access to health care and education.

The United States will continue to collaborate with Haiti to strengthen border security through our work with the Haitian National Police and the Haitian Coast Guard.

The United States is proud of our partnership with Haiti as we work together towards our shared goal of a prosperous, safe, self-reliant, and democratic Haiti," one can read on an U.S. Embassy Haiti Statement on Haiti’s New Government.
