iciHaiti - Tourism : Summit Meeting on the Heritage Preservation Project

Friday, Marie-Christine Stephenson the Minister of Tourism, Jean-Michel Lapin the Minister of Culture, Patrick Durandis the Director General of the National Heritage Preservation Institute (ISPAN), the Consultant Patrick Delatour, Isnel Pierreval the Adviser to the President of the Republic met with representatives of the World Bank about the prospects on the Heritage Preservation and Tourism Sector Support Project (PAST).
The strengthening of the National Historic Park Management Committee, institutional strengthening of the Regional Directorate of Northern Tourism, restructuring of the inter-ministerial commission and a mission of evaluation and supervision of the World Bank on the project were the main elements addressed in this meeting.
The North Destination Management Organization (OGDNH) and the Ministries of Culture and Tourism intend to make every effort on the threshold of the celebration of the bicentenary of the creation of the citadel and the 350 years of the city of Cap baptized Cap 2020.
