iciHaiti - Security : Two new leaders at the Protection of Minors Brigade

Jean Eddy Lahens, the new Senior Commissioner and Head of the Minor Protection Brigade (BPM), accompanied by Jean Valcy the new Deputy Head, paid a visit to the Head of Mission Giuseppe Loprete and Olivier Tenes, Protection specialist of the United Nations Agency for Migration (IOM), an agency working with the BMP on protection issues and the fight against trafficking in Haiti.
Recall that the Brigade for the Protection of Minors (BPM), is a specialized unit of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) part of the office of criminal affairs of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ), whose mission is to prevent abuse of children across the country.
This unit has jurisdiction over the whole of the Haitian territory and includes four sections: minors victims, minors in conflict with the law, domestic violence and a section dealing with social surveys.
