iciHaiti - Politic : 2nd International Colloquium of Public Universities in Regions
Thursday 27 September in Ennery (Artibonite) was launched the 2nd International Colloquium of Public Universities in Regions (UPR) on "University governance, societal dynamics and management of academic crises". Organized by the UPR, with the support of the Minister of National Education Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, this Colloquium should allow inter alia a better understanding of the institutional mechanism that generates crises and conflicts to the detriment of the development of universities.
Professor Narcisse Fièvre, in charge of the UPR's file in the cabinet of Minister Cadet, who spoke on behalf of the Minister, stressed that this scientific and academic event should create the conditions for the development of new reflection sites for higher education institutions.
In the speech of Minister Cadet, read by Fievre, the Minister hopes that the discussions will allow to better understand the crises and conflicts that affect the functioning of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Haiti and propose healthier mechanisms for resolving the crisis in universities.
