Tuesday, Jean Michel Lapin, the new Minister of Culture, accompanied by his Director General Yves Pénel as well as two members of his Cabinet, held its first Strategic Orientation Council (COS) with the Directors General of the various deconcentrated organizations under supervision of the Ministry, gathered at the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH).

In the summary of this working meeting, the Minister reviewed the main commitments relating to the cultural sector before analyzing with officials the budget available for the fiscal year 2018-2019.

In addition, issues of the orientation of government spending and sector priorities were also on the agenda.

It should be notes that the COS that is held on a regular basis aims to create synergy between the Ministry and the deconcentrated organizations in order to rationalize the actions to be carried out within the cultural sector and to make coherent the interventions of the various entities of the Ministry with sectoral policy in terms of program, budget and implementation schedule.
