Friday, as part of World Teachers' Day (5 October), Kettyna Bellade, Deputy Mayor of Port-au-Prince, on behalf of the Municipal Council delivered a message to the teachers of the commune, which we invite you to share :

Message to teachers by Kettyna Bellade :

"Dear teachers of our commune,

While throughout the world the statutes and the situations of the teachers retain the thoughts on this International Teachers' Day, We, the members of the Communal Council of Port-au-Prince, wish to affirm our appreciation for your patriotic contributions in the education and training of young people in our eight communal schools.

We also want to pay a public tribute of gratitude to the special teachers you have revealed to be in our commune especially in this difficult school year 2018-2019 in schools that all are in risk areas. The Communal Council is proud of you !

You teach a lot of our children for their greater good. You reinforce your knowledge to become the wonderful agents of which our commune benefits in general. Be thanked ! Continue in this direction, take advantage of all opportunities, especially as this year's theme is : "The right to education is also the right to qualified teachers".
