iciHaiti - Taiwan : Prerequisites for potential major infrastructure projects
This week at the El Rancho Hotel, as part of the celebration of the 107th National Day of Taiwan (Republic of China), the Accredited Taiwan Ambassador to Haiti, Hu Cheng Hao said in his speech that apart from projects already planned, Taiwanese experts last September realized an exploratory mission prior to possible feasibility studies on major infrastructure projects.

During this first mission there was talk of a transversal railway to improve the traffic both in Port-au-Prince that in the metropolitan area as well as a peripheral toll road, a seaport container port to Môle St-Nicolas, two hydroelectric power plants and the other natural gas and finally the rehabilitation of 150,000 hectares of arable land.

Let us hope that this preliminary mission will be followed by more in-depth studies and feasibility studies, so that one day these major projects become a reality for the good and the progress of our country.
