iciHaiti - DR : The Haitian Diaspora appeals the Haitian Government to dialogue with the opposition

Saturday, following the violent demonstrations of recent days William Charpentier native of Haiti and Coordinator of the National Council of Migration and Refugees of the Dominican Republic, appealed the Haitian Government, asking it to sit at the table of dialogue with the opposition before the crisis worsens, to discuss the problems and the causes of permanent conflicts and to find solutions, in order to allow Haiti to regain some peace and socio-political stability essential to its economic development.
In addition, the National Council has also asked the Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP) to grant permanent residence to former Haitian sugar cane workers.
