iciHaiti - Education : US Embassy Scholarship and Exchange Program
The "American Corner" program of the Monique Calixte Library invites students, professionals and the general public to its annual conference on scholarship and exchange programs at the US embassy in Port-au-Prince. This activity, scheduled for Wednesday, November 14 from 5 pm, is part of the celebration of the "International Education Week" which will extend this year from 12 to November 16th.

The presentation will be made in 4 stages, by executives of the American Embassy, with Joanne Gousse, Estelle Cameau, Leslee Alexandre and Lyle Mikowicz. Ms. Gousse is Administrative Assistant at the Documentation Center and is also Academic Advisor Education USA for Haiti. She will present the five stages of support for her program for students who can finance their own studies in the United States.

The UGRAD (Undergraduate) and SUSI (Study of the United States Institutes) programs will be presented by Ms. Cameau, who works as a Cultural Affairs Assistant. Leslee Alexandre will be in charge of presenting "Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative" (YLAI). Lyle Mikowicz, Vice-Consul, will speak about processes related to obtaining student visas and exchanges.

It should be remembered, among other things, that the "International Education Week" aims to highlight the benefits of education and international exchange worldwide. It is a joint initiative of the US Department of State and US Department of Education.
