Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, paid a courtesy visit this week at his former school, the Toussaint Louverture High School located on St-Honoré Street in Port-au-Prince.

It was an opportunity for the Minister to motivate students on their involvement in Haiti's progress and the staff on the importance of education, discipline and moral values. The Minister Charles plans to multiply these visits to other high schools with the aim of bringing his Ministry closer to young people who can play a central role in the reduction of juvenile delinquency.

In his speech he renewed his commitment to put his ministry at the service of youth by focusing his message on the participation of young people in the change of Haiti.

Coming from a working-class neighborhood and from the Toussaint Louverture High School, the Minister sensitized young people on their ability to become, like him, of model citizens and useful to their communities.
