On Friday, at the 3535 Francophone Youth Awards Gala in Ivory Coast, the young Haitian lawyer Johanna Sylvain Joseph, 32, who represented Haiti in this competition alongside 290 candidates from 36 countries, won the first place in the Advocacy and Civil Society category.

The 3535 Francophone Youth Awards recognize 35 inspiring Francophone young people between the ages of 18 and 35 each year who have outstanding achievements in their communities. For this 3rd edition.

Johanna Sylvain Joseph, a 32 year old law graduate, is a Founding Lawyer at JSJ Law Services. She is also the organizer of "Conversations Essenti'Elles", a series of meetings-debates on the issue of gender in Haiti that brings together hundreds of people. It campaigns for the application of a quota principle in the country's administrations.
