iciHaiti - Health : Figures on blood collection in the country, more than alarming

According to the National Program for Transfusion Safety (PNST), to meet the annual demands, it would require a collection of 60 to 80,000 blood bags each year. The Haitian Red Cross does not manage to collect 30,000 bags a year.
For the year 2018, on over 33,000 requests to date, only 17,000 bags were collected, almost 50% of requests could not be satisfied.
This Thursday, November 15th join the Office of the National Authorizing Officer European Development Fund (BONFED) for a day of collection for the benefit of the Haitian Red Cross open to the public at 4 rue Morelly Christ Roi (port-au-prince).
