iciHaiti - Demonstrations : Already one week school activities lost

Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education welcomes the measures announced by the Government, particularly by the public security authorities, to facilitate the complete resumption of school activities across the country, as of Monday, November 26.

The Minister deplores and condemns the recent violent events that disrupted from 19 to 23 November, the smooth running of school activities in several regions of the country, particularly in Port-au-Prince "The loss of a week of classes will probably have serious consequences for learning and planning of educational activities. Any new disruption can have adverse effects on educational attainment, in the short and long term, and the education system in general, already very few competitive with other countries in the Caribbean region. Says the Minister.

Cadet invites the educational community to contribute to this essential step for the future of our children and appeals to all citizens who must also play their part in preserving the interests of the school and our children.
