Members of Haiti's Search and Rescue Coordination Group wrent to several US Coast Guard units in Miami to learn about search and rescue best practices and capabilities.

The US Coast Guard Liaison Officer of the United States Embassy in Haiti accompanied the group, which included representatives of the Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Haiti, from the National Civil Aviation Authority (OFNAC), the Haitian Red Cross, the National Airport Authority (AAN), the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Haitian Coast Guard.

These exchanges offer Haiti's search and rescue professionals the opportunity to learn valuable lessons to ensure the safety of the lives of all Haitians and also demonstrates the partnership between the United States and Haiti for a safer and secure region.
