However, he regretted that it was still not possible to reach an agreement which, in his opinion, would benefit not only the Dominican Republic, but also Haiti, which would receive significant customs duties and taxes on the volume exchanges highlighting that this agreement would generate a viable trade flow for both countries. Recall that Haiti with 799 million of Dominican products imported, is the third largest trading partner of the Dominican Republic behind Canada (883 million) and ahead of India in strong growth (643 million), the USA remaining the 1st partner of the neighboring country with 4.78 billion.
