iciHaiti - Fort National : Laying of the first stone of the school and dispensary of the Sisters of St. Anne

Monday, December 10 at Fort National (Saint-Antoine Corridor, Borgella Street), Youry Chévry, Mayor of Port-au-Prince, and Bishop Max Leroy Mésidor, Archbishop of Port-au-Prince, will take part in the laying of the first stone of the reconstruction of the school and dispensary of the Sisters of St. Anne whose buildings were completely destroyed during the 2010 earthquake.

This clinic will be the only one in the area and will serve 40,000 people. On the other hand, starting in September 2019, 520 students from the first year of preschool to the ninth grade will be able to return to school.

This laying of the foundation stone symbolizes the commitment of the Government and the Catholic Church to improve the living conditions of the community of Fort National and to reduce violence in the zone where the construction site had become a lawless area, used for any type of criminal activity.
