Friday, January 4 at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse in the presence of his wife Martine, Edwing Charles, Minister the Minister of Youth and Sports and Jean Michel Lapin, the Minister of Culture, presented with "with much enthusiasm and pride" a plaque of honor to Matéo Philippe Coles, a 16-year-old young rider who won the gold medal in the team championship of the 5th Edition of the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina last October https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-25789-icihaiti-riding-haiti-wins-gold-at-the-2018-youth-olympic-games.html
The young Philippe Coles, who has trained several hours each day for these Olympic games, plays tennis, football, ping-pong and video games during his free time. He believes in work and discipline to succeed and is proud to represent the colors of Haiti.
