iciHaiti - PAP : Pre-carnival activities, 6 wounded and 1 death (final assessment)
Following the first of 7 Sundays of pre-carnival activities in Port-au-Prince, the Communal Administration communicated the final balance of this first day, which is 6 wounded, 2 of them at the level of the lower limbs, 1 with knives and 2 by bullets and one dead by bullet on the way to the hospital.

The Mayor of Port-au-Prince wishes to remind that street vendors with mobile containers (wheelbarrow) can not circulate in the course, under penalty of seizure by the police. In addition, he reminds that the carrying of firearms is strictly prohibited, except for officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) duly identified and in service. Glass bottles and knives are also prohibited throughout the course.

The Communal Administration reiterates its commitment to ensure the smooth running of pre-carnival activities and informs the public that 3 medical stations are available along the route for carnivals, the first near the West Departmental Direction, the second next to the Town Hall stand (Street Capois, opposite the Rex Theater) and the third at the National gas station, Lalue corner and Christophe Avenue.
