The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) is continuing its awareness campaign regarding voter registration. A communications team visited the Southern Department, focusing specifically on markets in Camp Perrin, Cavaillon, and Les Cayes.

The team traveled to these municipalities to inform vendors, shoppers, and the general public about how to register on the electoral rolls.

Using explanatory brochures and a sound truck, members of the delegation outlined the key steps of the registration process, the required documents and formalities, and the importance for every citizen to verify that their registration is valid for the upcoming general elections.

This initiative also provided the CEP with an opportunity to explain the various provisions of the electoral decree of June 2, 2026 (PDF : https://www.haitilibre.com/docs/decret-electoral-02-06-2026.pdf) concerning voter registration, and to help citizens access essential information about the electoral process.

Through this nationwide awareness campaign, the Provisional Electoral Council aims to improve public understanding of electoral procedures and encourage civic participation—grounded in proper information, awareness, and responsibility—to ensure that the country can hold democratic, inclusive, credible, and fair elections.
