From Sunday 20 to 26 January 2019, a delegation of specialists from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) will stay in Haiti.

Accompanied by technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture, this Brazilian delegation will visit the Great South to check the potential of introducing the cultivation of the variety of coconut palm "Green Nain" in Haiti, one of the varieties, developed by the technicians of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company (EMBRAPA), known for its resistance to pests and bad weather and for its productivity.

Beyond its permanent commitment to the development of Haiti, the Government of Brazil aims with this project, to help farmers in the South, especially after the destruction caused by Hurricane Matthew, to strengthen their productive activities and contribute to the country's food security.
